RENO, Nev. (AP) - A California couple’s Reno vacation turned nightmarish when their car was stolen and found at the bottom of a marina.

Warner Walker, of Sacramento, told KRNV-TV in Reno (https://bit.ly/1Uv7RDF ) that he and his wife left their Lexus with a valet at the Grand Sierra Resort on Friday.

They were unable to find it anywhere the next morning.

Meanwhile, Sparks police received reports of a submerged vehicle Friday at the Sparks Marina.

Witnesses say a man described as Hispanic and between 20 and 30 years old ran away after pushing the car into the water.

Authorities pulled the car out.

They were able to retrieve some items inside but the vehicle is a loss.

Both Sparks and Reno police are investigating the incident.
