LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Registration is open the Mushroom Run at Indian Cave State Park in southeast Nebraska.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says the run will be held April 30 in conjunction with the park’s annual Outdoor Adventure.

The run includes the Morel Mile and 5-kilometer races. Each begins at 8 a.m. The $20 entry fee pays for a T-shirt and a pancake breakfast. Register at https://shopoutdoornebraska.ne.gov/outdoorevts .

Other family events for the Outdoor Adventure include mushroom hunts, a fish fry, musical entertainment, hayrack rides, a raptor exhibit and demonstrations of beekeeping and Dutch oven cooking.

The park sits along the west bank of the Missouri River, 12 miles north of Falls City. A park entry permit is required for each vehicle entering the park.
