TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - A 55-year-old Mineral Springs man indicted for allegedly mailing letters to seven Arkansas mayors threatening to harm them has been arraigned.

Federal prosecutors said that Maverick Dean Bryan appeared before a federal judge Monday on seven counts of mailing threatening communications.

Bryan was indicted by a federal grand jury on all seven counts March 16.

The indictment alleges Bryan mailed letters to the mayors of seven different Arkansas cities containing threats to injure them.

Bryan is due next in court March 28.



It was unclear whether Bryan had an attorney.
