WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 29-year-old upstate New York man has been accused of injuring a 5-month-old infant.

Joseph Wilcox was charged recently with assault and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with an investigation into an infant who was brought to a Watertown hospital with physical injuries.

State police say specific details of the case aren’t available.

The Adams Center man is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $25,000 bail. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
