BRYANT, Ark. (AP) - A former Arkansas Department of Finance employee has been arrested for the robbery of a cash deposit bag in Bryant.

Bryant police said Wednesday that 31-year-old Marqueena Simmons is one of four suspects in the Dec. 23 robbery. Police say Simmons and two men were arrested for aggravated robbery and a fourth suspect was arrested for hindering apprehension.

Police say a DFA branch manager was leaving the revenue office when a man in a sport utility vehicle rammed into her car, then took the cash deposit bag and drove away.

DFA spokesman Jake Bleed says Simmons was a service representative at the Bryant office at the time of the robbery and was fired after being arrested last month. He declined to say how much money was taken, but said most was recovered.
