COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) - Howard County Police say two women were killed when the cars they were driving collided at an intersection in Columbia.

The department said in a news release that the crash occurred shortly after noon Thursday on Route 175 at Route 108. Police say a Chrysler driven by 67-year-old Lucinda Miller of Laurel was traveling west on Route 175 when it sideswiped two cars and entered the intersection.

Investigators say the Chrysler crashed into a Honda Accord making a left turn onto Route 108.

Police say Miller was pronounced dead at a hospital. The driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Monteia Carter of Baltimore, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Miller may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
