SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Reili Richardson had 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals Thursday as Brea Olinda beat St. Francis 64-51 to take the CIF Girls’ Division I state crown.

Sophomore Tyiona Watkins scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds and Krislyn Marsh added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Brea Olinda Wildcats (29-4), who won their 10th state championship in 13 tries.

Tia Hay had 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals while Lauren Craig filled in with nine points, 14 rebounds and four blocks for the Troubadours (29-6).

Brea Olinda got 14 points and five rebounds from Richardson in the first half, which led to a 31-12 halftime lead for the Wildcats. Brea Olinda’s defense forced the Troubadours to shoot 5-for-29, 17.2 percent, from the field in the first half.

St. Francis was down by 24 points, but staged two spirited runs to cut the Wildcats’ lead to 12 points in the fourth quarter. Brea Olinda worked the clock down most of the quarter to make the Troubadours’ comebacks ineffective.
