SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says two people died and two others were injured in a residential fire near Silverton.

Lt. Jeff Stutrud says a mobile home caught fire early Thursday and firefighters had already extinguished the blaze by the time sheriff’s deputies arrived. He says the two deceased people - a boy and a woman in her 20s - were found inside the home.

A man in his 20s was flown to a Portland hospital and a juvenile male was taken to Salem Hospital by ambulance.

The lieutenant says the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but it does not appear to have been intentionally set.
