STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State women’s basketball player Brittney Martin has been named a finalist for the Wade Trophy.

Martin is one of 15 finalists announced Thursday by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association for the award presented to the player selected as the NCAA Division I women’s basketball Player of the Year.

Martin previously became the first Cowgirl named Big 12 Player of the Year and the first Cowgirl named defensive Player of the Year. She was Big 12 Player of the Week five times.

The WBCA will announce the winner of the award during its convention, which will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Indianapolis.
