LOS ANGELES (AP) - A big-rig wreck in the East Los Angeles freeway interchange snarled commuter traffic for about six hours.

California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi says the accident before dawn caused a major backup on southbound Interstate 5 that cleared about 11 a.m. Thursday.

The wreck left the tractor-trailer on its side and an oil spill but CHP Officer Monica Posada says no one was hospitalized.

Polizzi said the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
