SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The owner of a Sioux Falls home that was hit by a school bus almost two years ago has sued the driver and the school bus company.

The Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1Sk9EYJ ) reports homeowner Ross Wickman in the lawsuit alleges School Bus Inc. acted negligently be allowing Donald Larson to operate the vehicle. Wickman says Larson was medically unfit to drive when the crash happened in May 2014.

No students were aboard the bus when it hit one house, then crossed the street and crashed into another house. Larson then told authorities he blacked out and didn’t remember anything.

Nobody in the houses was hurt. Kara Avery, Wickman’s wife, was in a room near a bedroom where the bus came to rest.

Wickman seeks over $160,000 in damages. The newspaper reports neither Larson nor School Bus Inc. has responded to the lawsuit.
