ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The Latest in a shooting at a New Mexico casino that killed one person and injured a police officer (all times local):

4:55 p.m.

Authorities say a tribal police officer was investigating reports of a stolen vehicle before he was injured in a shooting that killed one person outside a New Mexico casino.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says the shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Laguna Pueblo Officer Peter Tanzilli sustained non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

In a video released by the FBI, the officer approaches two males outside the Route 66 Casino west of Albuquerque. The video doesn’t have sound or show the shooting itself, which authorities say killed one of the suspects.

The other suspect fled wearing a pair of black shorts, black jacket and black shoes. The FBI was searching for him Thursday.

3:40 p.m.

Authorities have identified the officer injured in a shooting at a New Mexico casino and say he is in stable condition at University of New Mexico Hospital.

The Pueblo of Laguna’s public safety director says 37-year-old Officer Peter Tanzilli is a United State Air Force veteran. He has been a Laguna Pueblo police officer for about 5 years.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says the officer sustained non-life threatening injuries in the shooting at the Route 66 Casino west of Albuquerque.

Video released by the FBI shows the officer approaching two subjects outside the casino before one of them flees. The video doesn’t include sound or show the shooting itself.

Authorities were trying Thursday to locate the person who fled.

12:05 p.m.

Federal authorities say they are searching for a person who fled from a New Mexico casino where a shooting injured a police officer and killed another person west of Albuquerque.

Video released by the FBI that doesn’t include sound shows an officer approached two people outside the Route 66 Casino late Wednesday. One of the subjects wearing black shorts, jacket and shoes flees as the officer approaches.

In the video, the FBI also links a silver Lexus with extensive damage on its left side to the case.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says the Laguna Pueblo police officer sustained non-life threatening injuries. The officer’s name has not been released.

7:50 a.m.

Authorities say a police officer is injured and another person is dead following a shooting near a tribal casino west of Albuquerque.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says the officer’s injuries aren’t life-threatening and that a third person is sought in the shooting that occurred early Thursday morning near the Route 66 Casino.

Fisher says the FBI is assisting the Pueblo of Laguna Police Department in investigating the incident.

No description of the wanted person was released, and additional information on the incident was not immediately available.
