HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Hoover police say two more teens are charged in the death of an Iraq war veteran who was gunned down outside his home.

Chief Gregg Rector said in a statement Friday that 19-year-old De’Ron Lucas of McCalla and 16-year-old Darrian Bryant of Bessemer are charged with murder in the death of 33-year-old Mike Gilotti. Authorities say both are being held without bond. It’s unclear if they have attorneys.

Police have said Gilotti was heading to the gym the morning of Jan. 5 and likely interrupted a series of vehicle break-ins when he was shot.

Rector says Lucas was arrested Jan. 7 in connection to several car break-ins and a vehicle theft and Bryant was arrested Thursday.

Two other boys, ages 16 and 17, have also been charged in Gilotti’s death.
