DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Police in Durham are investigating the deaths of a couple found shot in a car after a wreck.

Police who responded to a report of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. Friday found the victims.

Police spokesman Wil Glenn said in a statement that the victims were 40-year-old Larry Alford and 34-year-old Brenda Whitaker, both of Durham.

Police say the car had crashed into a minivan.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
