PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Supreme Court has denied former Gov. John Kitzhaber’s latest effort to stop an outside review of emails that were inadvertently archived by the state.

Citing privacy concerns, Kitzhaber attorney Janet Hoffman wanted the high court to overturn a lower court ruling that an independent special master peruse the messages and decide which are relevant to the ongoing litigation between the state and Oracle over the failed Cover Oregon health care exchange.

The high court rejected the request Thursday, but did not release a written opinion. The action was first reported by the Portland Tribune.
