PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - Authorities are investigating what’s being described as a “police-involved shooting” in Pawtucket.

Police were called to Webster Street just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police say one man suffering from gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital where he died.

Pawtucket Sgt. Paul Brandley Jr. says state police and the attorney general’s office are investigating, and no names have been released.

No other information was immediately available.
