HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a 22-year-old Heber Springs man accused of having 3 pounds of “high-grade” marijuana mailed to him through the United States Postal Service has been arrested.

Lt. Phil Burnham with the Cleburne County sheriff’s office said that the man was arrested March 17 on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premises.

Authorities say the man received the shipment earlier this month, and that he has been released on bond. He is accused of profiting from the exchange of drugs for “quite some time.”

Burnham said additional arrests could be made as a sheriff’s office investigation continues with assistance from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
