MURFREESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A Pike County convenience store manager and her husband have been arrested after police say they stole nearly $3,000 from the store.

Murfreesboro Police Chief Randy Lamb said that the manager of an E-Z Mart took the money and gave it to her husband in front of the store Thursday afternoon, and the man left on foot. Lamb said that the manager then went back inside and called 911 to report that she had been robbed.

Authorities say that when police arrived on the scene, they reviewed video surveillance footage and then obtained a warrant to search the manager’s home. Lamb said the money was found in the home and the couple was arrested.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/22LPg7L ) reports that the two are being held at the county jail and no bond has been set.
