FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The widow and a son of a man who died in a standoff with Fargo police that also left an officer dead are still living in a motel, more than a month after the incident.

Michelle Schumacher tells KFGO radio (https://bit.ly/1RDoP2q ) that she wants to live somewhere where she can have “more than four drawers of belongings.”

Friend M.J. Krump says the Schumacher home is unlivable due to damage from bullet holes, a SWAT truck and tear gas.

Marcus Schumacher died in mid-February in the incident in which Officer Jason Moszer was shot and killed. Investigators have not said whether Schumacher died of a police bullet or shot himself.

A fund for Michelle Schumacher remains open at Alerus Financial branches, and a pancake feed fundraiser is scheduled May 8.
