SPRINGVILLE, Utah (AP) - Two Springville police officers have been hospitalized after they were struck by an alleged car thieves.

The Daily Herald in Provo reports (https://bit.ly/1pDfNWn) that the incident began around 9 a.m. Saturday when police investigated a suspicious vehicle.

Police say an officer confronted two men in the car.

That’s when the men allegedly struck him.

Police say that officer suffered minor injuries but managed to move out of the way.

The two suspects then allegedly struck a second officer.

Police say that officer was hospitalized with more substantial injuries but did not elaborate.

One suspect has been arrested.

Investigators are seeking 19-year-old Corbin Chandler Decker, a person of interest.

They did recover the car at a nearby home.

Police say it as car that was reported stolen earlier in the week.
