UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - Police say an explosive device damaged a vehicle in a parking lot in Utica.

The Observer-Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1UPWnKQ ) that the incident happened at around 9:40 p.m. Friday.

Police responded to the explosion in a restaurant parking lot and closed off the area to foot and car traffic while they investigated.

The damaged vehicle was hauled to police headquarters.

No injuries were reported.
