ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - One person has been injured in a fight that broke out at a carnival in the Landmark Mall area of Alexandria.

Alexandria police spokeswoman Crystal Nosal says the incident happened Friday night when small groups of males in their teens and 20s were fighting. She didn’t know whether any weapons were involved.

One person sustained a non-life threatening injury and was taken to a hospital.

Nosal says three people were taken into custody and one was charged with felonious assault.

A Fairfax police helicopter was called, but the large crowd dispersed peacefully.

The malls website says a carnival is scheduled to run there through April 17.
