HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man convicted after he was caught on a hidden camera having sex with a 14-year-old girl will not be able to argue his case before the state’s highest court.
PennLive.com (https://bit.ly/1Rue5Aa ) reports that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected an appeal by 51-year-old Leon Tadych (TAD’-itch) of Millersville.
Tadych pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and other counts and was sentenced to 12 to 24 years.
His appeal argued that his attorney gave him bad advice about dropping a bid to bar prosecutors from using the video evidence from the camera, which his wife had consented to have secretly installed in their home. Tadych said his lawyer advised him to plead guilty because of other evidence, such as letters to the victim.
