MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa police say one person was shot and another hospitalized after a commotion at a house party.

Authorities say several people called 911 shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday to report shots fired from the street.

Responding officers found a man who had been hit by gunfire in the leg.

He was taken to a Chandler hospital.

His injury is considered non-life-threatening.

Police say the owner of the home where the shooting occurred was hospitalized for heavy intoxication.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.

They believe everyone at the part had been drinking.

No possible suspect has been identified.
