EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A Marysville woman has been sentenced to at least 26 years in prison for selling her 6-year-old daughter for sex.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports (https://bit.ly/1RsvRSg ) that the 35-year-old woman was sentenced Friday after being found guilty last month. She denies the accusations and says she plans to appeal her conviction.

Prosecutors say the woman allowed her new husband to abuse her daughter, prostituted the child out on Craigslist to strangers and shared pornography.

The woman, who is not a U.S. citizen, said she was worried she would be deported if she didn’t capitulate to her husband’s demands.

Her husband pleaded guilty in June to first-degree child rape and child molestation and possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to a minimum of 27 years in prison.
