NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a man who stopped to help people with apparent car problems was robbed instead.

The Advocate https://bit.ly/1UtycT7 reported Saturday that preliminary information from police indicate a 39-year-old man stopped to offer people with apparent car problems help around 4 a.m. in the Garden District.

But the driver pulled out a gun and demanded the man’s wallet and cell phone.

Police said there was no money in the wallet so the driver returned it and left with the cell phone.
