BEHTEL, Conn. (AP) - Authorities have identified the victims of what they say was an attempted murder-suicide inside a western Connecticut home.

Police received a 911 call from the home Friday afternoon but the caller quickly hung up.

Responding officers found 76-year-old Charles Cristofalo dead inside the Bethel home. Sixty-eight-year-old Ann Cristofalo and 56-year-old Thai Pham were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Police say all three people were shot.

There was no word Saturday on the victims’ current conditions.

First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker says the shooting appears to an attempted murder-suicide and a gun was recovered at the scene.

Police are referring to it as a domestic incident. They say there’s no reason to believe the public is in danger.

The investigation is ongoing.
