DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware police are investigating a motor crash that claimed the life of a bicyclist.

Police say the crash occurred at about 2 a.m. on Sunday when a 23-year-old cyclist ran a red light and entered an intersection of West Denneys Road and North DuPont Highway in Dover. At the same time a Chevrolet Silverado crossed into the intersection and struck her. Police say she was thrown from her bicycle and taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police say she was not wearing reflective clothing or a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured.

The incident is under investigation.
