AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine’s annual hunting seasons for crows and snowshoe hares are coming to end for the year.

The season for crows ends on Thursday in most of the state. The season continues until April 15 in parts of extreme northern Maine.

The hare season also ends on Thursday. Hunters are limited to a daily maximum of four and a possession limit of eight. The season began on Oct. 1.

The next major hunting season in the state is the spring wild turkey hunt, which begins on May 2.
