CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) - A fire official says one person has died after a two-vehicle crash in central Alabama.

Center Point Fire District Battalion Chief Gene Coleman tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/1q9HczE ) that two vehicles crashed around 8 a.m. Sunday. Coleman says one person was dead at the scene and the other was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The names of the victim who died and the hospitalized person have not been released.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
