EL PASO, Texas (AP) - El Paso now has a memorial to Vietnam veterans to salute 208 members of the military from the area who died for their country or are still missing.

Ceremonies were held Saturday to unveil the $40,000 Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which was funded by donations.

The granite monument, in the shape of a pyramid, features the names of veterans from El Paso County killed in action or listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War.

More than 700 people attended the ceremony at the El Paso Flags Across America site. The location includes a U.S. flag that’s flown continuously atop a 180-foot flagpole.
