WASHINGTON (AP) - Michael Barrios scored his first two goals of the season to help FC Dallas beat D.C. United 3-0 on Saturday.

Barrios opened the scoring in the 14th minute, taking advantage of a miscommunication between two United defenders and putting away a left-footer from the top of the box.

Fourteen minutes later, Barrios broke free on a breakaway and poked the ball past charging goalkeeper Travis Worra to give Dallas (3-1-0) a 2-0 lead.

Maximiliano Urruti completed the scoring in the 52nd minute.

United (0-2-2), which has scored just two goals in four games this year, is winless is its last six matches, dating to last season. D.C. finished the game with 10 men after Marcelo Sarvas got a straight red card for an elbow in the 65th minute.

REVOLUTION 1, NEW YORK CITY 1, TIE

NEW YORK (AP) - Chris Tierney scoredoff a free kick in the 38th minute and short-handed New England tied New York City.

Thomas McNamara headed home the rebound of a volley by David Villa that ricocheted off the crossbar and New York City (1-1-2) took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.

But 28 minutes later, after Andoni Iraola was shown the yellow card, Tierney’s free kick deflected off NYCFC’s Steven Mendoza into the net to tie it for New England (0-1-3).

New England’s Gershon Koffie drew a straight red card for a tackle on McNamara in the 51st.

WHITECAPS 1, DYNAMO 0

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Pedro Morales scored on a penalty kick in the 23rd minute and the Vancouver beat Houston.

The Vancouver captain sent goalkeeper Joe Willis the wrong way from the spot after Dynamo defender Jalil Anibaba was judged to have fouled Whitecaps striker Masato Kudo in the area.

Morales leads Major League Soccer with four goals in four games to start the season, all on penalties.

Vancouver improved to 2-2-0, and Houston dropped to 1-2-1.
