ELKTON, Md. (AP) - Cecil County sheriff’s deputies and state troopers are searching for suspects involved in a shooting in Elkton that left one person dead.

Police say the shooting occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on Saturday. Police say officers were dispatched to the unit block of Navajo Trail North in Elkton for a report of a shooting. When they arrived they found 22-year-old Malcolm Lowrie suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Police say Lowrie was visiting a home when several people walked in. Witnesses told investigators that Lowrie got into an argument with one of the suspects before he was shot. Police say there were five adults and four children in the home when the suspects entered.

The incident is still under investigation.
