FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - Officials from a trampoline park are looking to bring more entertainment to a city in north Alabama.

Construction is under way for Sky Zone in Florence, Al.com (https://bit.ly/1VKqRNX) reported. The company is building an “all-walled” trampoline playing court to open later this year.

The franchise will cover 21,000 square feet and feature Sky Zone’s new Warrior Course, Open Jump, Ultimate Dodgeball, SkySlam, Foam Zone and Sky Hoops.

“The Florence community doesn’t have an entertainment destination like Sky Zone that offers a wide variety of activities in which kids, teens and adults alike can enjoy,” said Kim Moore, owner of Sky Zone Florence.

The venue will be open for birthday parties, corporate team building, field trips and more. Pricing for the Florence and Hoover locations is not yet available.

Sky Zone has more than 134 locations worldwide. The company, which recently scrapped plans for a Huntsville location, will launch a park this fall in Hoover, the largest suburb of Birmingham.

Steel City Jump Park launched in Crestwood in late 2014 after AirWalk Trampoline Arena opened in 2013 off U.S. 280. Altitude Trampoline Park said this month it will operate a 25,000-square-foot trampoline park in Mobile by summer.

Shakalaka, an indoor trampoline park founded by California developer Case Lawrence, opened in 2014 at the Huntsville West Shopping Center. In early January, Urban Air Trampoline Park said it would open its first Birmingham location this spring.
