MARION, Iowa (AP) - Two people have been injured in a Marion cooking oil fire.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports (https://bit.ly/1RJOhTP ) that the fire was reported around 5:25 a.m. Sunday. The Marion Fire Department says the fire was out when firefighters arrived. The two people had been injured when they took the pot of burning oil outside to dump it.

The two were taken to a hospital and were expected to survive their injuries.
