GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Glendale police say a 12-year-old boy has turned up safe and in good condition after running away because he was upset that he didn’t get an Easter basket.
Sgt. David Vidaure says it turns out the boy made his way to the Phoenix home of relatives Sunday night and slept in their backyard until Monday morning.
Vidaure says the boy then went inside and his parents were contacted.
The boy had left his home around 8 a.m. while carrying a backpack.
