RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Henrico County police say a man has been charged in the shooting deaths of his parents.

Lt. C.J. Eley says 59-year-old Henry J. Brissette III and 56-year-old Martha B. Brissette were found dead in their home Sunday night. Twenty-two-year-old William Roy Brissette faces two counts of second-degree murder and two felony firearms counts.

Eley said in a telephone interview that the younger Brissette called police and reported that someone had broken into the house, but “the evidence showed otherwise.”

The Richmond Times-Disptatch reports (https://bit.ly/1SrllwX ) that a prosecutor said in court Monday that Brissette has received services from county mental health workers, and police have been called to the family’s home in the past.

Brissette is being held without bail. A preliminary hearing is set for June 3.
