PITTSBURGH (AP) - Jury selection has begun for the trial of a western Pennsylvania man accused of killing his girlfriend, keeping her in a refrigerator and then burying her behind his house.

Fifty-eight-year-old George Biegenwald of Shaler is charged in Allegheny County with homicide and abuse of a corpse in the death of 50-year-old Donna See.

Authorities allege that that after See’s head struck a dresser in his Glenshaw home and she bled to death, Biegenwald stuffed her body in a basement refrigerator and buried her.

He will simultaneously be tried on an attempted homicide charge involving another woman that authorities allege occurred while See’s body was in the refrigerator.

The judge agreed Monday to bar prosecutors from using a recorded interview with that woman about an argument that preceded the alleged assault.
