SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 35-year-old man has died from injuries suffered in a shooting on a Syracuse street that also left a 10-year-old with a gunshot wound.

Syracuse police say officers responded around 7:40 p.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired on Tioga Street and a large crowd in the area.

When they arrived on the scene they found a 35-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy with gunshot wounds.

The man had been hit multiple times and was taken to Upstate University Hospital. Police say Monday morning that he later died from his injuries.

The boy was taken to the same hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his right ankle. He’s listed in stable condition.

The victims’ names haven’t been released.

Police say they believe the suspect left the area in a black, four-door sedan.
