NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - University of Oklahoma guard Buddy Hield has been named first-team All-America by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The honor announced Monday marks the fourth first-team All-America selection for Hield. He was previously named All-America by the United States Basketball Writers Association, Sports Illustrated and USA Today. He was also named the Big 12 Player of the Year for the second straight year.

Hield is averaging 25.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, two assists and 1.1 steals per game.

OU will play Villanova on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament national semifinals.
