PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - The city of Pawtucket is set to continue its repaving project this week.

WJAR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1RnaMMn ) the Pawtucket Department of Public Works is scheduled to resume the repaving at 7 a.m. on Monday.

The first repaving efforts of the spring will take place on School Street, beginning at Rosewood Street and continuing up to Nassau Street. Construction on each segment is typically completed over two weeks.

Signs will be posted on the street when work is to be performed. Officials are asking motorists to observe the parking restrictions so that crews can work efficiently and minimize the impact to residents.

Mayor Donald Grebien (GREH’-bee-in) says the project is a continuation of the city’s effort to reinvest in public infrastructure and public safety.
