ADDISON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont state police say a Brandon man has been seriously injured after a one-car crash in Addison.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/1SghrUQ ) police say the truck was headed north on Jersey Street South when it crossed over Vermont Route 17 and came to rest in a tree line adjacent to a field early Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old driver was removed from the car and taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with serious internal injuries.

Police say two passengers were treated at a Middlebury hospital and released.

The incident remains under investigation. Police say speed, alcohol and seatbelt usage are contributing factors in the crash.
