READING, Mass. (AP) - A Reading man who was the target of a manhunt has been ordered held without bail.

Thirty-year-old Brian English appeared in court Monday on charges of kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny and witness intimidation.

English was taken into custody early Monday after a manhunt that ended when English crashed his vehicle.

Reading police said on their Facebook page they had responded to English’s neighborhood on Sunday due to an “isolated, non-random incident.”

No further details were immediately available.

It’s unclear whether English has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
