LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says severe weather will be possible in Arkansas later this week.

The weather service says thunderstorms are expected to begin Wednesday morning in western one-third of Arkansas and the chance for severe weather will start during the late morning and afternoon hours and spread eastward.

The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds and the weather service said tornadoes can’t be ruled out. Heavy rains and flash flooding are also possible.
