TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - A man charged in a fatal shooting in Taunton last week has been ordered held without bail.

Miguel Marrero was arraigned Monday in Taunton District Court on murder and weapons charges.

Prosecutors say the 20-year-old Marrero shot and killed Gordon Weekes on Thursday outside a city apartment building.

The 23-year-old Weekes was taken to the hospital by a friend where he was pronounced dead.

Marrero fled the scene and was tracked down Friday in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.

It’s not clear whether Marrero has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
