ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - UFC fighter Jon “Bones” Jones, who trains in Albuquerque, has had another run-in with law enforcement in New Mexico.
Albuquerque police say Jones allegedly was drag racing in the downtown area last Thursday.
They released lapel camera video of Jones being pulled over and say he was given five traffic citations - drag racing, exhibition of speed, license plate obstruction, having a modified exhaust and failing to maintain traffic lanes.
In the video, Jones argues repeatedly with the officer that he wasn’t racing.
Jones wasn’t arrested, but he’ll have to appear in court.
Last Wednesday, Jones pleaded no contest and was sentenced for several traffic violations.
He was cited Jan. 31 for not having his driver’s license, car registration and proof of insurance with him and received a 90-day deferral.
