ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say a fatal shooting of a man at an east-side apartment was preceded by an altercation with another person.

Police say the man was shot by the person with whom he had the fight.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Police took a call at 11:40 p.m. that the man had been shot in an apartment on Charter Circle off Debarr Road west of Lake Otis Parkway.

Medics transported the man to a hospital, where he died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the dead man’s name will be released after his next-of-kin has been notified.
