FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A 21-year-old Springdale man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison without the possibility of parole for producing and possessing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors said Tuesday that Julian Rivera was also ordered to spend 25 years on supervised release after his prison term.

A federal grand jury indicted Rivera in October after his arrest for allegedly attempting to kidnap and sexually assault a young girl as she walked home from school. Court records allege that investigators later found numerous videos of Rivera sexually assaulting minors on his cellphone.

Rivera pleaded guilty in December.
