GORHAM, N.H. (AP) - The body of an eastern New Hampshire fisherman has been found by a Fish and Game Conservation officer near the Androscoggin River.

NH1.com reports (https://bit.ly/1WUJygk ) the body of 76-year-old David Baker was found by the officer Monday in Gorham near the Gorham/Shelburne town line.

Earlier that morning, Conway police issued a missing person’s alert for Baker’s vehicle after he left for a fishing trip Sunday and never came home.

Baker’s wife notified police that he was missing and a search of his cellphone signal showed it was near the Androscoggin Valley Country Club. A search along the river produced the body.

Police say there were no signs of foul play and an autopsy has been scheduled.
