NEW YORK (AP) - Police say the death of a Bronx baby has been declared a homicide.

The NYPD issued the update Tuesday in the death of 4-month-old Christopher Rhodes. The medical examiner has determined that he died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Police were summoned on Aug. 7 to Jacobi Medical Center, where the baby was being treated for head and torso injuries. He could not be saved.

There have been no arrests. The case is still under investigation.
